To start, let me say that G&M exceeded our expectations at every turn of our garage renovation project and we are very happy with both how the process was managed and the very high quality of their finished work. You will get A+ quality of work at an A+ price. We've used another GC before for an interior renovation, so have some experience with these projects. Our experience with G&M was a significant improvement versus past projects and we never felt like there would be an issue that Jonah wouldn't take care of. Joe and Jonah were very competitive on their quote. Jonah was project manager and is also an incredibly genuine and positive person. While our project was certainly not the most complex or high dollar project, we always felt like we were high priority. He is clearly committed to providing the best client experience possible and building a long term relationship with his clients. We hired G&M to renovate our attached ~250 square foot garage and convert it into a bonus / guest / laundry room (pictures attached). The garage was pretty rough and they built a new walk-in closet, added dry wall all around, insulation, vaulted the ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, new doors and framed new French doors to replace our old garage door. Dimael and crew worked fast and finished the majority of the work within 4 weeks. There were a few items such as the custom door, floor moldings, and other door accessories that took a little longer to order so from start to finish, it was about 6 weeks. The crew was on top of things, making progress whenever they had the chance. Communication was consistent and we always felt like we had a good handle on progress. That said, having done a few renovation projects at this house, which is an old 1950's home, there are always hiccups here and there. However, Jonah and Dimael, who is generally on site daily, were highly responsive and quick to address/rectify our concerns. I never felt once like there would be any loose ends, and they really delivered. They also walked through everything at the end of the project and fixed every little nick, scape, spot, etc and imperfection to our liking. The attention to detail was fantastic and highly appreciated. The finished product speaks for itself but I really can't say enough good things about how easy it is to work with these guys. There's more work to be done at our house and G&M is going to be our contractor for these future projects also. I highly recommend calling Joe and Jonah to discuss your renovation project! One recommendation I give to anyone looking to do a renovation: it really helps if you have specific styles and hardware already in mind. From flooring, tiles, cabinets, moldings, and all the relevant paint colors, down to door handles, knobs, locks, hinges, etc. Contractors are not designers.
